About Us
As coaches with over 50 years experience in both baseball and softball, we continually experienced the same thing. Hitters coming up through the ranks without the proper fundamentals of the swing. The most glaring of these deficiencies was the lack in lower body movement, or hitters swinging "all arms". The most important move in a swing to create balance and power is the pivoting of the back foot into the proper hitting position. This is the genesis of the swing and begins a chain reaction of movement up to the hips, shoulders and hands.
We have found that young hitters who develop this motion early are the ones that excel at the higher levels. The confidence that is gained because of the power they can generate at an early age is one of the things that separates a great player from the good players. Their swing is grooved and they can concentrate on the pitch and trust their swing because the muscle memory they created is now instinctive.
